The concept of the Material Home by Elle Decor exhibition, curated in 2024 by Elisa Ossino, is a synesthetic journey that leads through rooms that investigate different materials, on a sensorial journey to explore their substances, characteristics, application possibilities. De Castelli furnishes two environments, with a site-specific wall cladding intervention and with a light installation part of the new 2024 collections. “Superficie” is the large kitchen that sees the co-presence of different materials, triggering an unprecedented dialogue between textures and geometries : the protagonist is the large undulating Vela wall in brushed stainless steel, the result of Biomorphic research which expresses the multiple potential of beating, hammering and calendering techniques to give rise to soft and organic shapes like a fabric moved by the wind. “Organic”, is the winter garden that represents the return to the earth through an installation where the almost primordial materials create a space for reflection on the sustainability of resources and the future of construction: in this intimate place the sense of nature is suggested by Light&Shade, the large wall-mounted light installation designed by Adele Martelli, in stainless steel with DeDeep finish.
